The Louisville Memorial Auditorium has two features which make it unique throughout the world.  First, it is the home of the World’s Largest Pilcher pipe organ. This historic
four-manual instrument with 5,288 pipes is still playing, just as it has been doing since 1929.

Second, it is also home to 144 world-famous flags.  These historic flags from World War I and II are proudly displayed in six beautifully lit flag cases.

The Louisville Memorial Auditorium offers rich history and architectural beauty, while offering modern conveniences such as professional lighting and sound systems, new stage curtains, carpeting and renovated handicapped accessible restrooms.

Thousands use our stage annually for concerts, world-renowned performances, dance competitions and recitals, stage plays, student performances, religious gatherings, speaking engagements, fashion shows, community gatherings, weddings, private parties, meetings, memorials and graduations. Attendance exceeds 100,000 patrons per year.

On Memorial Day, May 27, 2019, the Louisville Memorial Auditorium  honored veterans and celebrated the 90th Anniversary of the region’s only war memorial.

American Legion State of Kentucky Chaplain, Steve Orr, lead the prayer service, followed by city officials who spoke about the history and future of the auditorium.

A community concert featuring “The Thoroughbreds” was held. A historical presentation was shown on the movie screen, while listening to the majestic sounds of the world’s largest Pilcher Pipe Organ.
